Cookie Policy
This policy describes the cookies and browser storage used on asken.ai and explains how to accept, reject, or change optional analytics.
Effective: September 7, 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can remember settings without sending a value with every web request. ASKEN uses both as described below.
2. Essential technology
Essential technology is necessary for requested website features, account security, and remembering your privacy choice. It does not require analytics consent.
| Name | Type and provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sid |
First-party cookie, ASKEN | Keeps authenticated sessions secure and allows account features to work. | Up to 7 days, renewed during active use; removed on logout where applicable. |
asken_cookie_consent_v1 |
First-party local storage, ASKEN | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. | Until you clear site data or ASKEN replaces the preference version. |
asken_locale |
First-party cookie, ASKEN | Remembers your chosen website language: English, Polish, or German. | Up to 365 days, or until you clear site data. |
3. Optional analytics
Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel are blocked by default. They load only after you select Accept analytics. The exact cookies created can depend on the tags active at the time.
| Technology | Typical names | Purpose | Typical maximum duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google analytics tags delivered through Google Tag Manager | _ga, _ga_*, _gid, _gat*, _gcl_* |
Measures visits and interactions, attributes campaigns, and helps us improve website performance. | From a session to 2 years, depending on the active Google tag. |
| Meta Pixel | _fbp, _fbc |
Measures page visits and approved interactions and helps assess campaign effectiveness. | Typically up to 3 months. |
These providers may combine information with data they hold under their own privacy terms. See Google’s and Meta’s privacy information for details about their processing.
4. Your choices
You can accept analytics or continue with essential technology only. The two choices are presented with equal access in the consent banner. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the core website or your account.
Want to change your choice?
Select Cookie settings here or in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops optional analytics on the next page load and attempts to remove known first-party analytics cookies.
You can also delete cookies or local storage in your browser and use browser controls to block cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login and account features from working.
5. Third-party websites
Links or redirects to services such as Stripe or Microsoft take you to websites governed by those providers’ own cookie policies. Their choices are separate from the preference stored on asken.ai.
6. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our website technology or providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions can be sent to business@asken.ai. You can also read our Privacy Policy.
